Vasonii Story-ICECREAM VERSIONMy hair whipped in my face as I looked out at the horizon. Dark storm clouds threatened the sun as it slowly set, and the waves crashed with more power than usual. Sighing, I figured that I should head home and get my homework done. At least tomorrow is Friday.
"Vasonii!" I turned to look at the voice calling my name.
"Hey, Beth! What's up?" I plastered a smile on my face. Beth was my best (and only) friend.
"I thought we were meeting at the movies tonight at seven. You never showed up, so I went to look for you."
"Oh, right! Sorry, I meant to tell you that I wasn't going to come. I haven't been feeling that great."
"That's what they all say." She winked and grabbed my wrist, pulling me in the direction of town.
"Where are we going?" I asked as we picked up speed. We stopped when we came to the local ice cream parlor.
"Ice cream, of course!" Beth said with a huge grin.
"No, honestly I really haven't been feeling that great."

I awoke with start. My hands gently slid in the soft sand as I struggled to sit up. The sun was setting and the waves crashed easily on the shore.
"Vasonii! Vasonii, there you are!" my friend, Bethany, was jogging toward me. "I was wondering where you were! Your mom was looking for you. She said something about chores?"
Ugh. Chores. My mom always knew how to ruin the weekend. "Okay " I must have said too unenthusiastically, because Beth gave me a look of sympathy.
